A golden-brown inlet on the southwest shore, the mainland of Pheasant's Crown is barely visible from picturesque Topaz Cove. The island is on a plateau in relation to the shore; as a result, massive stones jutting from the slopes provide shaded areas as protection from the sweltering summer heat. If you don't mind scrabbling about in the hot sands for prey, then there are probably a few wading birds picking for worms at the water's edge. It's easy to waste an afternoon watching the tiny waves stroke the shore or poking through the unusually colored stones that wash up from the lake's belly. Prey Status: Fair Occupied by:Unclaimed
