No New Posts mer soleil

Though portions of Dynasty are forested, most of the little island is made up of grassy fields. "Mer Soleil," as it's called, forms the interior of Dynasty. Long, verdant plants are fed by the abundant rain and morning mist, and wild blue-, black-, and raspberries mixed amongst the more common vegetation help attract prey and can occasionally provide sweet treats for pups. Mer Soleil isn't particularly hilly, and water accumulates in a small pond towards the northern tip of the island.

No New Posts topaz cove

A golden-brown inlet on the southwest shore, the mainland of Pheasant's Crown is barely visible from picturesque Topaz Cove. The island is on a plateau in relation to the shore; as a result, massive stones jutting from the slopes provide shaded areas as protection from the sweltering summer heat. If you don't mind scrabbling about in the hot sands for prey, then there are probably a few wading birds picking for worms at the water's edge. It's easy to waste an afternoon watching the tiny waves stroke the shore or poking through the unusually colored stones that wash up from the lake's belly.

No New Posts hummingbird cliffs

Its name might seem contradictory - a cliff is hardly a place you would expect to find creatures as dainty as hummingbirds - but it is certainly appropriate. This little outcropping of land is situated on the northern tip of the island, where fields and plants suddenly give way to a steep drop. Below the cliff is nothing but a bare strip of beach and then the lake's waters. There is a cluster of boulders at the very tip of the cliff that, when you climb up onto them, offer a glorious view of both the mainland and the extraordinary sunsets. Hummingbirds and other small avians are usually abundant here, feeding on the nectar of the flowers or, for the others, tiny berries and insects.

No New Posts sapphire shallows

The waters on the south shore of the island are unusually shallow, only one or two feet deep for several yards before it reaches a sudden, steep dropout. Dark boulders smoothed by the gentle waves dot the turquoise waters, and playful currents nip at the sandy shore. The Sapphire Shallows is a popular place amongst amphitrites to play, breed, and care for pups, but others will also enjoy sloshing around in the warm waves.

Board Description
seashell dynasty
Though it's situated close to the center of the lake, the whimsically-titled "Seashell Dynasty" is traditionally marked down as part of the Crown's territory. This rocky island emerges from the depths of the lake and is much larger than it appears to be; the fragile ecosystem that survives on it, surprisingly enough, thrives. It's a popular nesting site for birds, and the shallow waters that surround it are often filled with young fish. Only particularly strong swimmers can hope to reach Seashell Dynasty, but once they do, they'll find a little paradise.
