We don't want to have too many complicated rules because that would kill the fun for everyone, but we do have to have a few basic rules so that it doesn't descend into total, unmanageable chaos. Please follow them! If you break them, you will be warned by a staff member or, if you break them often enough, banned. It's difficult to clean up broken rules, but we don't want to ban anyone! General Rules or, OOC Rules.
- Thou shalt not be a jackass. Don't be rude or disrespectful to your fellow members or staff members. If an argument breaks out - a serious one and not just a joke - in the thread that you are in, either do your best to neutralize it or simply leave the thread. Do not go out of your way to start an argument. Do not discriminate or cause trouble against/for someone because of their race, religion, gender, sexuality, et cetera. Use your common sense.
- Thou shalt not speak like a sailor. We all curse from time to time, and cussing is certainly allowed, but please don't make it every other word.
- Thou shalt not spam. Games are allowed in the arcade and active posting is encouraged, but please don't make posts that are just a smiley, one word, or a big fat block of meaningless letters/numbers/etc.
- Thou shalt not use chatspeak. Common abbreviations, such as 'lol,' 'brb,' and 'rofl' are permitted, but no 1337 speak or tYp1nG lYk A cOmPlEt3 m0r0n. Thank you and goodnight.
- Thou shalt not be a jackass. It's an important one.
When Making Your Character- Thou shalt have only one account. You may have as many characters as you want - just keep 'em active and keep 'em all on one account.
- Thou shalt not make a Mary Sue or Gary Stu. No perfect characters, please. It kills the fun for everyone else, and flaws are delicious, nutritious, and part of a healthy breakfast.
- Thou shalt not give your character unearned items. Every item that your character has, be it an accessory, ability, mutation, or magic, must be bought or earned. Remember, you can buy items at any time of your character's life (unless the item is restricted). When you buy, get as a gift, or win items from competitions, please add them to your character's profile and make a note as to how you acquired it.
- If thou shalt post an unfinished profile, thou shalt finish it within two weeks. If not, it will be moved to the denied profiles board until you PM a staff member and start working on it again.
- Thou shalt not post a profile in the Accepted Profiles board. They must be approved first.
- Thou shalt heed the restrictions. For example, if female amphitrites are currently banned, don't make any until the ban is lifted.
Roleplaying Rules- Thou shalt not godmod, powerplay, or any of those nasty and catchy words. You will not control someone else's character. You will not make your wolf untouchable in battle - everyone gets hurt sometimes. Et cetera.
- If thy character is in a battle, thou shalt not make them invincible and untouchable. See above.
- Thy character shalt not curse like a sailor. Again, cussing is permitted, but please not every other word.
- Thou shalt not post dinky little one-, two-, or even three-liners. Everyone has bad days when they just don't have the inspiration for a big, chunky post. That's understandable! Just give people something to respond to. Aim for at least one paragraph per post.
- Thou shalt not abandon a thread. If you have to go away for a while, please post in the away board - don't just leave the person hanging!
- Thy characters shall not cyber. Do not write out sex scenes. I mean, your characters aren't going to be chaste little puppies their entire life - circle of life and all that - but we can go without seeing it written out in graphic details.
- Thy characters may use liquid time, but they shalt use it sparingly. You can have your characters in more than one thread at a time - you really can! This especially applies if their pack is having a meeting and they're off prancing around somewhere else. Please, though, be careful how you use it. We don't want anything too confusing.
